Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut

CHÂTEAU-DŒX

In the 1920s, an association was set up to preserve traditional objects and furniture in the region. A decade later, thanks to the inheritance of the prefecture building, the association became the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut. The museum exhibits painted and carved furniture, decorated tools, weapons, bells and even skis. Thanks to its links with the Swiss Cut-Paper Association, the museum was entrusted with the collection of 600 cut-outs and became the Swiss Cut-Paper Center. The various rooms are a real journey back in time for visitors, who can wander through reconstructions of the rooms in chalets of yesteryear.
