Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut

CHÂTEAU-D'ŒX

Originally founded as an association in the 1920s to preserve the region's traditional furniture and everyday objects, it became the Musée du Pays-d'Enhaut about a decade later after inheriting the former prefecture building. The museum displays painted and carved furniture, decorated tools, weapons, bells and even skis.

Through its partnership with the Swiss Association of Paper Cutting, the museum was entrusted with a collection of 600 paper cuttings and also became the Swiss Paper Cutting Centre. Its galleries offer visitors a journey through time, with faithful reconstructions of the rooms found in traditional Alpine chalets.
